Day 1: Marrakech – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate Marrakech desert tours
Your adventure begins at 8:30 AM with a transfer from your hotel or riad in Marrakech. Heading towards the High Atlas Mountains, you will cross the scenic Tizi N’Tichka Pass, making several stops to enjoy panoramic views. Visit the Argan Oil Cooperative, where you’ll learn about the production process and the many benefits of argan oil. The journey continues south to the UNESCO World Heritage site of Ait Ben Haddou, a famous filming location for movies like Gladiator and The Jewel of the Nile. After lunch, you’ll proceed to Ouarzazate, known as the gateway to the desert. Dinner and overnight in your chosen hotel category.
Day 2: Ouarzazate – Draa Valley – Alnif – Merzouga
After breakfast, the tour departs for the Draa Valley, home to one of Morocco’s longest rivers. Along the way, you’ll see ancient kasbahs and charming Berber villages. After lunch in Alnif, you’ll travel towards the impressive dunes of Merzouga. Upon arrival, enjoy a traditional Moroccan tea and prepare for an hour-and-a-half camel trek into the desert, where you’ll spend the night in a luxury camp under the stars. Day 3: Merzouga – Khamlia – Nomad Visit – Merzouga
Rise early to witness the magical desert sunrise. After breakfast, embark on a tour around the Erg Chebbi dunes, the largest in Morocco, reaching over 250 meters high. You’ll visit a nomad camp to learn about their way of life and stop at Khamlia, a village of Malian origin, to enjoy a tea and a live performance of traditional Gnawa music. After lunch at the hostel, the afternoon is free for you to explore the dunes and enjoy a sunset over the desert. Dinner will be followed by a lively Berber drum show at the camp.
Day 4: Merzouga – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley
After breakfast, you’ll head towards the Todra Gorges, one of the most spectacular canyons in Morocco. The towering rock walls, some reaching 300 meters high, are a paradise for climbers. Enjoy lunch near the gorges before taking a leisurely walk to soak in the beauty of the area. In the afternoon, the tour continues to the Dades Valley, where you’ll stay overnight in a hotel surrounded by stunning natural landscapes.
Day 5: Dades Valley – Skoura – Ouarzazate – Marrakech Marrakech desert tours
On your final day, you will travel along the scenic Route of the Thousand Kasbahs, passing through the Valley of Rosesand the vast Palmeraie of Skoura. After visiting the Kasbah of Taourirt in Ouarzazate, you’ll have lunch before heading back to Marrakech via the Tizi N’Tichka Pass. Arrival in Marrakech is expected in the evening, where you’ll be transferred to your hotel, marking the end of our services.
